Light On

(The Fallen)

Light On was written to give hope to parents and families of lost or abducted children. We live in a evil and devastating world starving for some hope. This past year 797,500 children (younger than 18) were reported missing. That's an average of 2,185 children being reported missing each day.

The song Light On was written by front man Kyle Torrence 3 weeks before a little girl from Missouri went missing. " At first when I wrote this song I had no idea what the meaning of this song was. These words just came to me so I wrote them down. A few weeks later a little girl from Missouri went missing: Authorities found her very close to where I lived at the time. The little girls appearance had been altered to look like a boy and the abductors left her in a car wash. This was very eye opening for me. God began to show me why he gave me the words to light on." Kyle began sharing this song with the rest of the band and soon became a group effort to raise awareness of this devastating crime sweeping the world.  After a couple months of playing this song live, the band received a call from their producer Rob Coates and out of the blue Rob says he wanted to donate some studio time to record a song. Was there a song that the band needed to record? Everyone in the band knew what that song was... Our prayer is that we can be the hope and shine a light for our missing and lost children of the world.

Light On

          Verse 1

Tell me something. Don't tell me nothing. My heart can't be without you.

Try a slow glance. Try another chance to find me. Be a light for me.

  Pre- Chorus

If daylight breaks it might be too late. If you're looking for time then there's no time to waist.

You gotta catch your breath, cause there's no rest.

 Chorus-

Can you leave a light on for me? Somewhere, somehow so I can see?

Will you be the hope and shine a light for me?

Can you leave a light on for me? Somewhere, somehow so I can see?

When I'm lost with no direction, you'll find me.

Verse 2-

Where would I go? Where would I be that you wouldn't follow after me?

Desperation, anticipation waits for me. Be a light for me?

Pre-Chorus

If daylight breaks it might be too late. If you're looking for time then there's no time to waist.

You gotta catch your breath, cause there's no rest.

 Chorus-

Can you leave a light on for me? Somewhere, somehow so I can see?

Will you be the hope and shine a light for me?

Can you leave a light on for me? Somewhere, somehow so I can see?

When I'm lost with no direction, you'll find me.

Chorus-

Can you leave a light on for me? Somewhere, somehow so I can see?

Will you be the hope and shine a light for me?

Can you leave a light on for me? Somewhere, somehow so I can see?

When I'm lost with no direction.
